Rainy Monday

How can birds sit on a branch in the pouring rain?

On the up side I got my own copy of Little Book of Letterpress published by Chronical Books .
Filled me with enough inspiration for the next month, at least!

The trees outside our house are bursting with autumn colour. I cant help but to notice them everyday and watch them changing from green to yellow, red, orange, and then brown as they fall to the ground. Such warm colours on frosty mornings dont make me feel any warmer but they do make me smile :)

The Card Society comes to an end

In the autumn of 2005 Maria Alexandra Vettese opened a shared studio based in Portland, Maine called port2portpress. The Card Society is port2portspress's only letterpress project and it is coming to an end!

What is the card society?
Its a fantastic letterpress printed card-of-the-month club!
Every month members receive two one-of-a-kind limited edition blank cards in the post. They are unique, never to be re-printed, or sold anywhere ever again! Pretty special!

After June 30th 2011 The Card Society will no longer except any new members and will close in Dec 2011. Members will receive there very own unique, letterpress printed cards up until Dec 2011.
Get all the details on the website.

Love your letterpress work port2port. Hope we see you in another form sooner or later :)

Hello and welcome to The Little Paper House Press Blog.

This blog has been a long time coming, and although I should be curled up in bed on this cold, wet and windy Wednesday night I thought I better stop making excuses and start this journey into "Bloggery".

I'm not exactly sure where this journey will lead us, but I can assure you that it wont always be grammatically correct (in fact it probably wont ever be grammatically correct) and it will probably have many spelling mistakes (does this thing have a spell check?). I blame this not on my excellent schooling, but rather on the fact that I use the right side of my brain, or is it the left side of my brain... which ever side the creative side is. You may have come across this with other designers/creative's, so I do apologise right up front!

Apart from that you can expect to find a whole lot of products and  information about letterpress (my current obsession!), paper, stationary, crafts, creative markets, illustrators, books, and anything else that keeps me in my happy place :)

Ill also keep you posted on all the happenings at The Little Paper House Press as we unfold and come alive!

I'm really looking foreword to sharing the bumpy ride.

Thankyou for welcoming us into your space :)

Colossal Clean Up

This is my imaginary book cover for a kids comic book titled Colossal Clean Up - How one squid rid the sea of plastic waste. Right that...
